While Shields Promotes Antidepressants Use, FDA Warns of Suicide Risks

LOS ANGELES, July 3 /U.S. Newswire/ On the same
day Brooke Shields was featured in the New York Times (Friday, July 1)
promoting antidepressant use for postpartum depression, the (FDA) was
warning that adults who use antidepressants could be at risk of
suicidal behavior and worsening depression. The FDA already requires
"black box" warnings of suicide risks for all
antidepressants prescribed to under 18-year-olds.
